Texas Mold Consultants Division of Safety Services of Texas PO Box 160932 Austin, TX 78716 Cell direct to Dan Yates: 512-563-2253 Email: danyates11@austin.rr.com Fax: 512-280-1929 Mold Inspections Our 18 years experience in mold inspections help us to inspect your property for visual evidence of mold and associated water damage. Physical evidence of mold often reduces the need for air sampling and associated costs. We use infrared cameras to check for hidden moisture presences in your building. Moisture meters are used to confirm and document a moisture presence. Our 18 years of mold inspection experience can help in keeping costs down. Mold Testing We can test your home/office/building for mold!
Mold Assessments and Protocols As a Texas licensed Mold Assessment Conultant (#MAC0273) we can perform mold assessments and develop mold remediation protocols in comliance with the Department of State Health Services. For mold affected areas greater than 25 contiguous square feet, a Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) MUST have a mold remediation protocol developed by a licensed MAC before they can start remediation activities. State statutes prohibit the same person serving as the Assessor and Remediator on the same project! Mold Clearance Once your Mold Remediation Contractor has removed your mold contamination per the Mold Remediation Protocol and cleaned the area, we can perform a clearance (post remediation testing) and pass or fail the remediation. If there is a failure, we determine what additonal action should be taken by the MRC to correct the failure causation. Retesting is then performed by the MAC. Upon a successful clearance, a Mold Certificate can be issued. Mold Certificates As a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant, we can sign a Texas Department of Insurance "Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation" when the project successfully meets clearance criteria. The MRC also signs the mold certificate. We can provide mold certificates (meeting state regulations) within 48 hours of sampling in most cases. This can be very important when you are involved in a real estate transaction and time is critical! Assistance with your Homeowners Insurance Claim We can document the water damage and mold damage (separately when requested) for your presentation to your insurance carrier. We can serve to protect your interests so that your insurance carrier is aware of the extent of your water and mold damages. Don't let your water damage claim "dry up" -- our infrared imaging can document moisture that is present, but not always visible to the eye. Some insurance carriers allow the homeowner to select their Mold Assessment Consultant -- we can serve as the licensed Mold Assessment Consultant to fairly and accurately make sure your water damage claim is properly taken care of. If you do not have mold endorsements on your homeowner's policy, you need someone experienced to assist you in accurately documenting your WATER damage. We also consult with you concerning you non-covered mold presence and explain your remediation options available. Expert Witness When you need a mold expert for legal action, we have many years experience in legal proceedings, including preparing report for your attorney, developing causation reports, developing mold remediation assessments/ protocols/clearance documents. We have successfully served in Travis county courtrooms as mold experts on many cases. Mold Remediation Activity Oversight We can serve as the facilitator for the overall mold remediation project. We can monitor the MRC to make sure the protocol is followed and your health and property is protected. | |||||||||||||||
